Spotlight & Command Palette

Global search, command verbs, keyboard shortcuts, and open-in-DAW

Overview

AudioEnv includes a global search and command system accessible from anywhere in the app. On the Mac app, press Ctrl+Space to open the Spotlight panel. On the web dashboard, press Cmd+K (or Ctrl+K on Windows/Linux) to open the Command Palette. Both let you search your entire library and execute actions without navigating away from your current view.

Search mode

Start typing to search across plugins, projects, bounces, and collections simultaneously. Results are grouped by type and ranked by relevance. Click any result to navigate to it.

  • Fuzzy matching across names, manufacturers, and metadata
  • Results grouped by type: Plugins, Projects, Bounces, Collections
  • Format badges shown on plugin and bounce results

Command verbs

Type a verb followed by a search query to execute an action directly. The verb is recognized and displayed as a badge in the input field.

play Summer EP # Play a bounce matching "Summer EP"
download Vocals # Download a bounce matching "Vocals"
go projects # Navigate to the Projects page
share Film Score # Share a project matching "Film Score"
queue Beat Rough # Add a bounce to the play queue

Available verbs

  • play (alias: p) — Play a bounce in the built-in player
  • download (alias: d, dl) — Download a bounce file
  • go (alias: g, open) — Navigate to a page or item
  • share (alias: sh) — Generate a share link for a project

Open in DAW

From the Mac app's Spotlight panel, you can open projects directly in their DAW. AudioEnv detects the project format and launches the correct application — Ableton Live for .als files, Logic Pro for .logicx, and Pro Tools for .ptx sessions.
